Inspired by the oddly precious color palette of the dead opossums I find --the white of their faces, soft as clouds, with the baby pink of their noses, tongues, and new life emerging from them-- these earrings showcase the delicate and unexpected beauty that exists within death.
An array of glass beads, freshwater pearls, shell, and quartz cascade down from the hand-painted opossum heads, subtly depicting new life while catching the light as they sway.
*I hand-paint each individual piece of my jewelry with enamel. The pearls I use are freshwater and thus each one is slightly unique in shape. With these things in mind, note that each pair of earrings may have slight differences from the pair pictured.
