Robin Rebirth

This print is of a graphite illustration I did of a robin I found in my old Pittsburgh neighborhood. There had been bizarre little pearled bits of blood or brain or who knows what near the mouth and head that reminded me seeds from a pomegranate, ironically something ironically symbolizing life, death, and rebirth, and so I wanted to merge the two things quite literally to speak to this constant coexistence of life and death and the impossibility of untangling one from the other.

These giclee prints are archival quality and are produced on 100% cotton rag hot press fine art paper that provides high contrast in black and white reproductions.
