Decapitated Dove Head Earrings

This pair of earrings is inspired by a dead pigeon I once came across on a sidewalk that appeared to be in perfectly pristine condition however was actually stuffed with an assortment of tiny maggots and worms. These earrings feature freshwater pearl fringe hanging below each enameled bird head that adds movement and elegance while also subtly mimicking the glistening bodies of the bugs I saw pouring out.
