Requiem for a Mouse Necklace

Inspired by mourning jewelry and the oddly peaceful poses often accompanying death, this enamel mouse appears to be asleep, suspended in dreamland as much as the freshwater pearl is suspended from its paw. The pendant hangs from gunmetal chain thats finished off with a lobster clasp, and whose dark color brings out the shimmery black hues of the pearl.
